Leo Raykher wins 2026 FCHI Undergraduate Honors Award

The Fox Center is excited to announce that Undergraduate Honors Fellow and History major Leo Raykher has won the 2026 FCHI Undergraduate Honors Award! Presented at the Fox Center's end-of-year celebration, this award recognizes Leo's outstanding work on his thesis project and exemplary engagement in the Undergraduate Honors Fellowship this academic year.
Titled “Economics, Espionage, and Exile: the Surveilled life of David Drucker, esq.”, Leo's thesis project examines the life of his great-great uncle, leftist lawyer David Drucker who was surveilled by the FBI.
On winning the FCHI Undergraduate Honors Award, Leo shared:
"I'm so humbled and grateful to have been able to work with not only accomplished but compassionate, interesting people this past year at the Fox Center. This award is a culmination of all the time that I spent working on this project, which was deeply personal for me. I'm so honored that Dr. Freeman and the Fox Center team saw that in my work. It was really such a privilege to work in a collaborative environment, so I'm so grateful for all the other fellows this year as well."
Following graduation, Leo will be returning home to New York where he plans to work before attending law school. In the long term, he wants to practice public interest law to serve his fellow New Yorkers.
Congratulations, Leo!
