Iris Wu Undergraduate Humanities Honors Fellow

Iris Wu is a senior at Emory University double majoring in Women, Gender, and Sexualities Studies and Quantitative Sciences with a concentration in Economics.

Her honors thesis project aims to investigate the intersection of gender, nationalism, and censorship in China's digital sphere. Her work analyzes government regulations, official social media discourse, and their impact on public perceptions of gender issues and feminist activism online. Iris aims to shed light on the challenges to women's rights and democratic participation in the digital age.
